Garlic Chips (Allium sativum) is the more pungent relative of the onion and granules are a handy alternative to fresh cloves.
1/4 to 1/2 tsp is approximately equal to a clove of garlic and they can be sprinkled directly into stews and soups or any dish with a longer cooking time that will allow the granules to absorb the liquid and release their flavour.
