Green Cuisine Sage Herb
Sage (Salvia officinalis) is a shrub of Mediterranean origin whose leaves have been used in cooking for centuries. In Britain it is most famous for combining with onion for a poultry stuffing and cheese making (Sage Derby).

Sage herb has a slightly woody, minty, citrus flavor that intensifies as the herb is dried so it is best used sparingly. Sage is also traditionally used in sausage recipes and will combine well with home made burgers and other meat recipes.
